Meet Our Leaders
Dennis Capra (Senior Pastor) is a dynamic, down-to-earth communicator. He has a warm and funny manner delivering a powerful, life-impacting truth. Dennis stirs up gifts in people as he travels internationally; he has touched over twenty-two nations. His evangelistic gift has opened doors for him as a soul winner. You’ll be shaken out of complacency and challenged into entering into your divine destiny.
You will be refreshed with a consistent message of life and freedom. He and his wife, Denise, founded and co-pastor Faith Ministries World Outreach Center in South Kansas City, Missouri. They have two grown children, Neil and Alison. They have pastored for ten years and have used their home church as a base for international outreach and missions assistance. Their passion lies in training and developing servant leaders.
Denise Capra (Co-Pastor) pioneered and founded the developing Bible college at FMWOC, Excel International School of Ministry. It has been compiled, packaged and distributed all over the world. She is administrative and has a unique teaching gift and prophetic insight. Her strong missions heart has taken her to many nations of the world. She challenges people to fulfill the internal blueprint God has deposited in each of us. She and Dennis function side by side and together have authored two books: Dung Beetle, How to Break Free from the Performance Trap and Faith to the Finish.
Sean Oleson (Youth Pastor) was born at a very young age … and was born again when he gave his heart to the Lord at a Youth For Christ meeting he attended in Middle School. He’s the oldest child in a family of eleven kids. Over a period of several years, the youngest seven children were adopted after coming to his parents’ family as foster children.
Pastor O and his wife, Laurie, have been married for 29 years. They have two children, a daughter, Alexia (14 years old), and a son, Skyler (12 years old). Lexi and Skyler are schooled at home. Sean and Laurie have lived their entire lives in the Kansas City area.
Having been an educator for 20 years, Pastor O has taught in private and public schools. He is currently working with families of elementary children who are schooling their kids in a virtual school.
The Ark Children’s Ministry at Faith Ministries is a team that is designed to engage children in developing a relationship with God and each other. Kids are given the opportunity to learn, in a variety of ways, the key principles in the Word. The message is eternal, the methods are creative and fun! “There is no higher calling than to work with children. Richard Davis (Youth Leader) Richard and his wife Brenda have been part of the Faith Ministries Family for many years. Richard is as a part of the Kansas City Missouri Fire Department. He is ready to heat things up with the youth. One of his life long dreams has been to minister to youth and teach drama and skits. He has 2 daughters of his own Santana and Riki.
Daniel & Laura Wakefield (Praise & Worship leader/Bookeeper) has been involved in music and ministry most of his life. He has worked for 7 years for a large music store in KC, and for the past 3 years he has owned and operated his own store in Overland Park, KS. Daniel has served on the worship team for 9 years playing guitar and assisting in worship leading. Daniel has great leadership qualities as well as a heart for God and people.
Myrna Meinke (Harry’s Mug Coffee Bar Manager) has been married 27 years. She is a mother to 3 beautiful daughters. She was a highschool teacher and coach. Now Myrna is offering her spirit of excellence to our very own coffeeshop. We are so thankful for this lady!
Alison Fitzgerald (graphics, media website, and admin) is the daughter of pastors Dennis and Denise Capra. Ali graduated with a film degree from Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida. Ali owns a wedding photography business and works to keep the office organized. She is married and is a full time mom to three step-sons
Doug Dimmel (media and service coordinator) started his music career at age 10, establishing “The Classmen”. This group toured to the Far East, Germany, Canada and the U.S. Doug earned a degree in Music at the UMKC Conservatory, where he was elected President of the Percussion Ensemble. In Nashville, as Barbara Mandrell’s drummer he appeared on the Arsenio Hall & Pat Sajack Shows, Hee Haw, the Literacy Awards from the White House, and the Disney July 4th Special, to name a few.Doug was a clinician while endorsed by Vic Firth Sticks, Remo Drums, Gibraltar Hardware, and taught for the Kansas City School District. Doug produced “Inside Story” for TV 50, Promise Keepers ’95 special, the 32nd Dove Awards live Webcast, multiple CD projects and was nominated for a Media Mix Award in ’94.
