Why Children's Ministry?
- A person's moral foundations are generally in place by the time they reach age nine.
- A person's response to the meaning and personal value of Jesus Christ's life, death and resurrection is usually determined before a person reaches eighteen.
- More than one-third of the world's population is children.
- In most cases people's spiritual beliefs are irrevocably formed when they are pre-teens. “In essence,” the researcher (George Barna)noted, “what you believe by the time you are 13 is what you will die believing.”
The Children's Department is sub-divided into 3 ministries which include the Nursery (ages 1-2), Pre-school (ages 3-5) and Elementary (grades 1-6) which are provided each Sunday morning. Each of these ministries offers specialized classes, activities and ministry opportunities.
